Terms of Service
Last updated: June 8, 2026
These terms are a binding agreement between you and Redline, operated by Victoria Essien (“Redline,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Redline.
1. Redline is not legal advice
Redline is an automated, AI-powered tool that helps you read and understand contracts. It is not a law firm, not a lawyer, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing Redline produces (including red flags, verdicts, summaries, counter-proposals, redlines, or chat replies) is legal advice and none of it should be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.
You are solely responsible for any decision you make about a contract, including whether to sign, negotiate, or reject it. For anything high-stakes, consult a real lawyer.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email and sign-in method secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate anyone or sign in on behalf of someone without authority.
3. Credits, payment, and pricing
Redline runs on credits. New accounts receive a number of free credits on sign-up. Each AI action (an analysis, a counter-proposal, a version comparison, or a chat reply) consumes one credit. You can buy additional credits through our payment processor, Paystack. Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (NGN) at checkout.
- Credits are a prepaid license to use the service, not currency, not property, and have no cash value.
- We may change prices, pack sizes, or the number of credits an action costs at any time. Changes are not retroactive to credits you have already purchased.
- Free credits may be modified, expired, or withdrawn at any time; purchased credits do not expire unless required by law or stated otherwise.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you have no right to share, or that infringes others’ rights or violates a confidentiality obligation you are bound by.
- Use Redline for any unlawful purpose, or to build a competing product, scrape the service, or resell its output as a professional legal service.
- Attempt to circumvent credit limits, security, or rate limits, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the documents and text you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to operate and provide the service, including sending it to our AI provider to generate your analysis, and storing your results so you can revisit them. We describe exactly how this works in our Privacy Policy. You can delete any analysis from your history at any time.
6. AI output: accuracy and limits
Redline’s output is generated by an AI model. It can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong; it may miss an important clause, misread one, or summarize it imperfectly. We do not warrant that any analysis is accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. Always read the underlying contract yourself and verify anything that matters.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Redline and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the service or its output, including any decision to sign, not sign, or negotiate a contract. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim or NGN 10,000. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Termination
You can stop using Redline at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us or others. On termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Redline after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Lagos, Nigeria.
